Why Does the Price of Gold Rise and Fall?

Currently, Gold & Silver are making all time highs.
My question is – which factors are there which affects the Gold Prices in India.
Is it Dollar to Rupee relation or any other factor is there.

Currency exchange rates do not affect the price of gold. It is investors who bid up the price because they see it a more desirable commodity, in view of economic events and the relative safety as a store of value. Now, speculation can also cause prices to increase, and that’s true with anything.
