Investing in gold bullion is a great investment strategy. There are many reasons why you would want to invest in this form of investment. Gold as an investment may not get your investment to double, but it certainly is one, which the super wealthy utilize as part of a balanced investment strategy. But, how do you invest in gold bullion?
Gold bars are officially recognized gold in the form of bars that is at least 99.5% pure. The common misconception is that gold can only be in this form. In reality, bullion means a refined and stamped weight of refined precious metal. Traditionally, gold is kept in the form of coins or bars. In olden days, it was in the form of coins; in modern times, it is stored in the form of bars.
But, here is where mistakes can happen in the investment of gold. As investors, we want our investment to be in a position to make returns, but what use is it if when we need access to that investment, we can’t get hard cash for it?
This is a big concern with investing in gold bars. It can seem great to be able to buy a ‘London good delivery’ bar, but if you needed to sell it, could you find a buyer?
It is like selling a suit or your shoes, yes you may be able to get a good price, but how liquid is it? Likely it ends up with less than you expected, and this is a position which is not advisable, for any investor.
A good strategy that has worked for me and many others is to have a small percentage of your investment portfolio in gold. Gold bars are a great investment because it allows you to invest in something that always will keep a good value.
Gold bullion prices will not shoot up, nor will they dive. Gold is a stable form of investment; it is far safer than the stock exchange. And several years down the line, that gold will have likely increased, at least marginally. But, there is likely to be an increase, because gold is relatively finite.
Another important factor, which I hope you will consider, is of that with an exit strategy for your investment. We all want our investments to be stable and pretty much work there course, but, we still need to consider if we wanted to convert that investment into cash and this is no different with investing into gold.
Here is where Gold Coins can be a good decision. Investing in gold bullion coins allows you to have multiple gold coins. You can buy gold bullion coins over time, and increase your collection.
If you wanted to convert that gold to cash, you could release a portion, without having to sell the whole thing. It is not as easy to cut up a Gold Bar, and get money for it!
Though gold bars have there place in investment. Imagine that you have collected several gold bullion coins. Now, you find that you have enough money to invest in a gold Bullion Bar. Now a gold bar could be your main investment, whereas the gold coins become the extras.

The Price of Prosperity $19.95 One of the foremost financial writers of his generation, Peter Bernstein has the unique ability to synthesize intellectual history and economics with the theory and practice of investment management. Now, with classic titles such as Economist on Wall Street, A Primer on Money, Banking, and Gold, and The Price of Prosperity which have forewords by financial luminaries and new introductions by the authoryou can enjoy some of the best of Bernstein in his earlier Wall Street days. First published in 1962, The Price of Prosperity speaks to today's uncertainties as clearly as to those of the past. With chapters like "The Burden of Government" and "The Economics of Democracy," Bernstein probes the future of an economy during rapidly changing times and the appropriate role of government in determining the ultimate outcome. The questions have not changed over time, but Bernstein's answers help us understand these issues from today's perspective. How much government control is too much control? How much can government spend? How can government influence the level of unemployment?. As Bernstein shows how to navigate an ever-changing economic landscape, his timeless insights throughout these pages make The Price of Prosperity as vital and important today as when it appeared in an environment fundamentally different from our own. |

Hard Money: Taking Gold to a Higher Investment Level $26.98 An in-depth guide to making gold a serious part of your portfolio Gold, the long forgotten store of value that was once the center of the global financial system, suddenly matters a great deal again. It has become a leading asset by virtue of its strong performance, and its booming demand has made it the only financial asset that remains in an uninterrupted bull market. This reliable resource examines the investment vehicles (bullion, stocks, derivatives, and even rare coins) and strategies (aggressive, conservative, passive, and variations) aimed at beating the price of gold as it rises, and ways to protect a portfolio should the metal decline.Identifies five key drivers that should continue to push gold higher in the years aheadExplores the ins and outs of investing in gold and making this precious metal a part of your portfolioExamines the pros and cons of multiple ways to buy gold via coins, ETFs, mining and royalty stocks, and other investment vehiclesAuthor Shayne McGuire is a highly-regarded expert on gold Written in a straightforward and accessible style, "Hard Money" offers key strategies to enhancing returns with new methods for investing in gold. |

The Price of Blood $6.99 In the last 20 years Phil Broker has pulled himself together. A good, tough undercover cop in Minnesota, he knows the difference between a sucker punch and a lucky break. And although he’s put his Vietnam years behind him, the grown daughter of his old commander has been dogging his heels for months. Nina Pryce is trying to exonerate her dishonorably discharged dead father and—more importantly—find the 10 tons of gold he helped liberate during a U.S. commando mission. Broker doesn’t like the smell of it. Still, Nina has her charms, and can be very persuasive. The only problem is, two of Broker’s old army buddies have beaten them to the search. Rich, sadistic Cyrus La Porte has the means, but no direction. Convicted thief Jimmy Tuna has a line on the location but no cash. Jimmy’s a dying man with nothing left to win—or lose.
